How to rock yo’ statement piece!

Making a statement is definitely been on trend this summer season and it’s full speed ahead into the Fall ! So here’s some tips + tricks on how to “make a statement” no matter what your style with confidence + ease!

TRENDY. CLASSIC.

The best way to embrace current trends is to represent them in classic silhouettes WITH classic silhouettes! VEVLET is one of those major trends popping up for this Fall season and a pair of skinny cut pants are a perfect way to add this trend to your closet. They can be rocked with a cool, oversized plaid that can be tied around your waist so yo’ statement tee can be seen in full force during the day and easily be switched to a glam look for night by switching to a leather jacket, adding heels or shoes with some interest and amping up the jewelry! (i.e. studs to hoops)

TIP: If you are nervous about a new trend start small. So, for the velvet trend a great small start would be a choker or a scarf!

COLOR BLOCK. BOLD.

Color blocking is something that many of us think is a trend of the past (the 1980’s called...) but it’s actually just been modernized! So, when you do this trend make sure you pick ONE bright, bold color such as this Fall’s golden yellow hue and TWO neutral but solid colors such as denim, charcoal, deep blush tones or of course classic black or white. These are all perfect compliments to creating a BOLD look!

TIP: How do you accessorize a color-blocked look? Add some fantastic jewelry!!! A dramatic pair of earrings and an oversized ring would be awesome but pick whatever pieces call to you that make you feel empowered and wear those!!

EDGY. FEMININE.

Although the Boho Chic trend has been going strong throughout the summer it has be amped up with an edgy and more luxurious twist going into Fall and school starts up again! Gorgeous kimono style cover-ups with elegant embellishments and a textured pant such a leather or corduroy topped off by a statement bag are a hip balance of edgy and chic...so keep your top simple so all your other pieces can shine!!

TIP: If you want to make an even bigger statement when you walk out the door, add a wicked cool bootie boot with a heel...that little bit of height will give you some swagger and make it look like you have legs for days!
